“Would 100% recommend Wilson and Cole Developments. They completed a rear extension and remodel of the downstairs of our Victorian terrace which we are thrilled with. From start to finish of this significant job we felt confidence in Dan and his team, who were professional, friendly, had integrity…”Read the full review →

House Renovations in Bristol
From a tired house to a finished home — structural honesty first, beautiful finishes second.
Renovation is the broadest thing we do: whole-house refurbishments, kitchens and bathrooms, structural repairs, knock-throughs, and the rescues nobody plans for — leaks, damp, and projects other builders left behind. One team, one point of contact, one standard.
Bristol's housing stock rewards respect. Victorian terraces move, 1930s semis hide their problems behind hardboard, and every era has its habits. We start renovations with the structure — what is actually holding what up — because paint over a problem is money spent twice. Recent work has included wall stitching, replaced ceiling beams and re-levelled floors that had gone, in a client's words, banana shaped.
Then the part you get to enjoy: kitchens, bathrooms, bespoke carpentry, alcove joinery, flooring and decoration, fitted by the same team that did the structure — so the shadow gaps line up and nobody blames the other trade.
You get a detailed, itemised quote before we start, communication that our reviews mention unprompted, and a site kept clean enough to live alongside. When the unexpected appears in an old house, you hear about it the same day, with options.

Evidence
Recent work and the words it earned.
“I can highly recommend Wilson & Cole. They did some complicated renovation work for me that involved wall stitching, replacing ceiling beams and roof struts, and a creative arrangement to put in a flat floor where it was previously rather banana shaped. They were adaptive and open to ideas, and the…”Read the full review →
Asked and answered
The questions this page usually raises.
Can you take on a full house, or only rooms?
Both. We run whole-house programmes with phasing that keeps part of the home liveable, and we take on single rooms where the job justifies a proper team — a structural kitchen knock-through more than qualifies.
We've had a leak / an insurance claim. Can you do the reinstatement?
Yes — we have rebuilt homes after tank and appliance leaks, including work referred through claims-management companies, and we are comfortable working to an insurer's scope while telling you honestly where the scope should be challenged.
Do you do small jobs?
Our minimum sensible project is roughly a bathroom. Below that, honest answer: a good local carpenter or handyman will serve you better than our site setup would.
