The guarantee
Insurance-backed protection for the work we hand over.
Our workmanship guarantee is insurance-backed through the Independent Warranty Association — Wilson & Cole Developments Ltd is an IWA member (membership no. WMQ.08.26). That backing means the protection stands behind our own promise on the work we hand over.
The IWA explains the protection in its own words — the clearest way to understand it is to visit them directly, and we would rather you did exactly that than take a builder's paraphrase for it.
The written guarantee document, with its full wording, is issued with your contract and handover pack.

What each badge actually means for you.
Health & safety
SafeContractor approved, assessed under SSIP
Our main health and safety accreditation. SafeContractor assesses our health and safety documentation against its Assessment Standards and re-assesses it every year. Major organisations accept the certificate as confirmation of competency in health and safety practice. Our certificate number is OC4217.
Our health and safety is assessed by an SSIP member scheme (SafeContractor), so main contractors and clients who ask for SSIP can accept it without repeating the assessment. Anyone can check it on the SSIP Portal.

Federation of Master Builders
Vetted membership of the UK's largest trade association for the building industry: independent inspection, credit and director checks, and a code of practice with dispute resolution behind it.

Structural Timber Association
We are members of the Structural Timber Association, the UK trade body for timber-frame and structural timber construction. Roofs, lofts and timber frames are carpentry, and carpentry is where we started.

CSCS carded team
Our team carry Construction Skills Certification Scheme cards evidencing training and qualifications for the work they do.
Gas Safe registered engineers
All gas work on our projects is carried out by Gas Safe registered engineers — the legal register for anyone working on gas.
NICEIC certified electricians
Electrical work is carried out and certified by NICEIC-registered electricians, with certificates issued for building control.
